NDAA Sends Letter to FCC on Contraband Cell Phones in Correctional Facilities
NDAA sent a letter to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) urging the body to take up the issue of contraband cell phones in correctional facilities and the potential impact on public safety. The full text of the letter can be read here.

National District Attorneys Association files amicus brief with US Supreme Court in Carpenter case
Date: October 3, 2017
ARLINGTON, Virginia — Today, the National District Attorneys Association (NDAA) filed an amicus brief
with the United State Supreme Court in the Timothy Ivory Carpenter v. United States of America case,
which examines Fourth Amendment protections as they relate to cell site location information (CSLI).
NDAA submitted the brief in support of the respondent (US government).

National Traffic Law Center Announces New Publication on Commercial Driver’s Licenses
On October 3, NDAA’s National Traffic Law Center released its newest publication entitled, “Commercial Drivers’ Licenses: A Prosecutor’s Guide to the Basics of Commercial Motor Vehicle Licensing and Violations (Second Edition)”. This publication gives a general overview of the issues surrounding commercial motor vehicle enforcement and the complex federal regulations that govern this topic.  It was written in collaboration with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), law enforcement, Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutors (TSRPs) and other traffic safety professionals.
